With Chuckals support, Tacoma Art Museum was able to provide sketch pads to visitors of all ages to record their thoughts and emotions after being inspired in their galleries.
To show their appreciation to the donations provided by Chuckals, Tacoma Art Museum wanted to share a few sketches of their visitors personal creativity.

Since 1888, The Humane Soceity for Tacoma and Pierce County has been at the for front of animal welfare, sheltering and finding homes for abandoned, lost or unwanted animals and reuniting lost pets with their owners. A local non-profit, The Human Society also operated as an "open admission" organization, meaning it shelters every pet that comes through its doors and works to find homes for pets, rather than needlessly ending their lives. Chuckals has recently given to the Werlin Reading Tutoring Group a supply of dry erase markers to keep their tutoring efficient! We also donated a Gift Basket to Tapco Credit Union for a sponsorship and Children's Home Society for their Sweethearts Luncheon! |

The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from heart disease and stroke by 25% by 2010. Volunteers work with local, state, and federal governments to implement policies to improve health. The Association targets educational programs and materials to help reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke while assisting healthcare professionals by publishing medical journals and promoting education. Tacoma Goodwill changes lives and communities by helping people with disabilities or disadvantage go to work.
Donations of reusable clothing, books, furniture and household items are sold at value prices in Goodwill retail stores. These revenues fun programs that educate, train and employ people with disabilities, or people who have other social and economic barriers. Established in 1906, the ywca serves more than 4,000 women and children each year. The ywca opened Washington State's first domestic violence shelter in 1976 and is the community leader in addressing this issue. The ywca actively works to prevent the conditions that ca sue the need for these services. Chuckals supports the Tacoma Rescue Mission's efforts through summer golf-a-thon 2004.
The Tacoma Rescue Mission began as a soup kitchen & cahpel in 1912 to fulfill the physical and spiritual needs of transient men drawn to Tacoma by the lumber and maritime industires. The Mission now has 12 programs in 7 locations throughout Tacoma. After 94 years, the focus of helping "the least of these" is preeminent and exemplifies their mission of "helping all people become their best through the love of Jesus Christ." 205,968 meals were served, 60,333 beds occupied and community volunteers completed over 59, 216 hours in 2550. The Boys & Girls Club is designed solely for youth programs and activities and is open after school and in the summer, when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets. Each Club has full-time trained youth development professionals, providing positive mentorship. Volunteers provide key supplementary support to youth, with minimal funding.
